The essence of design

Design should express and celebrate the essential, because it’s the essence that enshrines the true value of things. The most precious value in design is the human value, expressing a cultural heritage through which to inform the shape and contribute to the beauty of the world — beauty conceived as a form of aesthetic intelligence, conveyed by the shape but perceived as a sensation, because it’s the sense of beauty that dignifies and elevates our existence.
